Cardiovascular Technologist - Cardiovascular Technologist I

Job Details:

• Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor

• Deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations

• Work in variety of care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics

• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures

• Utilize highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures

• Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure all required elements are completed and documented according to department protocols

• Transfer images and data to archival systems and enter technical data for physician reporting

• Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, and equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions

• Associate's degree or higher required

• Must be graduate of CAAHEP accredited cardiovascular program, JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program, or complete Paramedic training program

• AHA BLS certification required

• Must meet ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) eligibility requirements within 12 months of hire OR complete Paramedic training within 12 months

• Must demonstrate ability to work as part of team, maintain accurate records, and handle confidential information

• Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations required

• Must possess knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular/radiologic technologies
