Key Responsibilities
Operates radiologic equipment including c-arms and ERCP equipment to make clinical diagnostic images.
Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for taking exposure.
Positions patients for procedures and works with physicians to obtain optimal images.
Determines proper voltage and current and desired exposure time, practicing ALARA.
Coordinates surgery schedules to assure surgeons receive excellent radiology service.
Performs clerical duties and takes x-ray images in other areas of the hospital.
Mentors and assists in the education of students enrolled in the School of Radiological Technology.
Produces high quality images via digital imaging for Radiologist interpretation.
Required Qualifications
Associate's or certification from an accredited School of Radiology
Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years Related experience in surgery
