Key Responsibilities

  • Operates radiologic equipment including c-arms and ERCP equipment to make clinical diagnostic images.
  • Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for taking exposure.
  • Positions patients for procedures and works with physicians to obtain optimal images.
  • Determines proper voltage and current and desired exposure time, practicing ALARA.
  • Coordinates surgery schedules to assure surgeons receive excellent radiology service.
  • Performs clerical duties and takes x-ray images in other areas of the hospital.
  • Mentors and assists in the education of students enrolled in the School of Radiological Technology.
  • Produces high quality images via digital imaging for Radiologist interpretation.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or certification from an accredited School of Radiology
  • Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Related experience in surgery
