Job Description:
The CT Technologist I performs entry-level diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Working under supervision, this role focuses on patient preparation, image acquisition, and maintaining imaging quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and related imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Correlate clinical history with imaging requirements.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and quality control.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Participate in continuing education and skill development to maintain certification and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a JRCERT -accredited Radiologic Technology program or CAAHEP -accredited cardiovascular specialty program.
- Must meet ARRT CT certification eligibility within 12 months of hire.
- AHA BLS Certification (required).
- 1+ year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic technology principles.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills.
Skills:
- Ability to operate CT equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of imaging protocols and radiation safety.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation:
Traveler (W2):
- $72.00/hr | $2,880 weekly gross
- Taxable: $1,520.00
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,360.00
Traveler (1099):
- $75.00/hr | $3,000 weekly gross
