Join Optum as an Independent Licensed Therapist and play a crucial role in transforming healthcare delivery. You'll provide vital mental health services, including therapy and medication management, while working in a supportive, clinician-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations
Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
Provide mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and/or couples
Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
Clear, active and unrestricted license (LMSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Michigan
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of professional social work / clinical experience post Master's degree
Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
Experience with children and adolescents
Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EMRs)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
