Key Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and manages wait time
  • Completes check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification
  • Collects co-payments and issues receipts
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Manages medical records
  • Assists patients with completing required paperwork
  • Connects patients with outside resources
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and filed
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with patients and employees
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office position
  • 1+ years of experience/knowledge of medical terms
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (ECW)
  • Beginner level of computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
