Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
  • Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
  • Perform pre-surgery exams and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
  • Provide compassionate and quality preventive care to underserved areas
  • Participate in administrative tasks like scheduling and meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Excellent work attendance record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification (required within 60 days of hire)
