Key Responsibilities
Produces images of diagnostic quality and prepares them for interpretation by the radiologist
Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
Ensures appropriate exam is ordered and attached to the correct patient folder
Confirms levels of supplies and equipment
Documents required information accurately
Coordinates daily work duties and exam timings within the team
Ensures images are properly uploaded to PACS
Confirms physician orders are complete
Reports equipment malfunctions and need for repairs
Assists in the education and training of new employees and students
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
Required Qualifications
Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent
Less than 1 year Completion of Radiologic program
Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
Understanding of how to effectively and safely use radiation producing equipment
Knowledge of medical technology and terminology

RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
