Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team in providing quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring animal well-being and enhancing client experiences while supporting the professional development of your team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture of respect and teamwork
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Triage and refer cases that do not fall within Community Medicine parameters
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
