Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks. Enjoy a supportive work environment while ensuring safety and efficiency in our operations. Entry-level candidates are welcome, with training provided.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English well
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Ability to provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems and diagnostic software
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
