Join Disney Cruise Line as a Safety Operations Manager, where you will ensure the safety of our fleet and private islands while collaborating with teams to uphold safety standards and compliance. Your leadership will directly impact the safety and experience of our guests and crew.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborates with Safety Managers and shipboard
Inspects vessels & Islands periodically for compliance
Review and update maintenance schedules based on Ship Survey findings
Define and maintain operational requirements for riding teams
Assist in organizing and scheduling repair and maintenance work
Responsible for planning and execution of riding team and special projects
Identify new technology for implementation
Collaborate with stakeholders to advance technical practices
Keep all technical documentation up to date
Assist with AMOS jobs for safety-related maintenance
Develop and maintain ships assembly plans
Attend technical discussions and meetings as required
Assist in maintaining safe operations with alternative fuel
Contribute to LNG & Methanol Bunkering HAZIDs and Risk Analysis
Coordinate safety equipment maintenance and service agreements
Align private island safety procedures with WDW Safety standards
Responsible for safety and enhancement projects related to Fire Safety
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years shipboard experience in a Deck/Engineering or Safety Officer role
Leadership, organizational and project management skills
Ability to influence leadership with a strategic and collaborative approach
Led safety initiatives for area
Demonstrated communication, presentation and public speaking skills
Self-starter, recognizing when projects need to involve multiple partners
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Cruise industry experience shipboard and shoreside preferred
