Key Responsibilities
Teach an inclusive, culturally responsive curriculum
Guide students in analyzing texts and writing in various genres
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Meet weekly with principal to analyze student work and assessments
Build positive relationships with students and families
Participate in professional development and team meetings
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or related fields
1-2 years of experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in teaching or working with middle school students
Certification eligibility in New York state
