Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Care for the health, wellbeing, and age-appropriate education of children
Implement age-appropriate curriculum using Vermont Early Childhood Learning Standards
Maintain health and safety of the facility
Supervise Teacher Assistants and Classroom Aides
Communicate concerns and milestones to parents/guardians
Complete behavioral and cognitive assessments for children
Organize parent-teacher conferences
Complete 24 hours of approved professional development annually
Adhere to state licensing requirements and regulations
Report any suspected abuse or neglect
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 21 college credits in Early Education or a qualifying Associate's Degree
Must meet Vermont standards for Teacher Associate position
At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare center or as an Early Elementary Educator
Must be at least 20 years of age
First Aid & CPR Certified
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Windows, Word, Outlook, and Excel
Detail oriented
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
