Job Summary:
- We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at our residential locations in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens.
- As an RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals living in our residences.
- You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of each resident, assess health conditions, administer treatments, and contribute to their overall health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and mental needs are met.
- Perform assessments of residents’ health conditions, including monitoring vital signs and medication management.
- Administer medications, treatments, and assist with personal care as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident.
- Educate residents and their families on health conditions, medications, and proper care techniques.
- Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor and assess resident progress, and communicate with healthcare providers as necessary.
- Respond to medical emergencies, providing first aid and emergency care when required.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in New York State.
- BLS
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a residential or long-term care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate and empathetic, with a passion for providing quality care to residents.
