Job Description

Join the Glastonbury Center for Health & Rehabilitation as a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to design and oversee impactful training programs for our healthcare team. You will play a vital role in enhancing care standards and driving professional growth while making a difference in the lives of residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation and ongoing training programs
  • Assess training needs and develop curriculum
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to staff
  • Coordinate orientation of all new employees
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in nursing care

Required Qualifications

  • Valid state nursing license
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery
  • Excellent communication, instructional and presentation skills
  • Strong clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certification
  • Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in staff education and development
  • Inspirational leader with a focus on innovation and quality improvement
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill
