Key Responsibilities
Assess/screen patient's daily living/work-related skills and develop therapeutic retraining programs
Administer and interpret diagnostic and prognostic tests of function
Confer with the patient's physician and health care team members
Provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients
Review/expand retraining programs consistent with behavioral goals
Consult with vocational team members to develop vocationally oriented plans
Report patient status and progress to relevant parties
Participate in care coordination and discharge planning
Design community reintegration activities
Recommend/design special adaptive equipment for clients
Train staff and family members to carry out retraining programs
Supervise and evaluate Occupational Therapy Assistant and Home Health Aide performance
Document patients' care observations and interventions
Required Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
Current and unrestricted OT licensure
Current CPR certification
Good organizational and communication skills
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience
Home Health experience
