Join Mission Regional Medical Center as a Regional Nurse Education Specialist focused on enhancing nursing education in Maternal Child Health. You will develop and deliver training programs that improve patient care outcomes for mothers, neonates, and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and conduct orientation programs, continuing education, and competency assessments for Maternal Child Health staff
Facilitate simulation training and emergency response drills
Create learning modules, workshops, and materials based on current standards
Collaborate with nurse leaders to identify educational needs
Ensure training aligns with standards from regulatory bodies
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs
Required Qualifications
Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current
Current NRP certificate upon hire and maintain current
Current AWOHNN Intermediate fetal monitoring certificate upon hire
Current STABLE certificate
Minimum of 5 years acute care experience in maternal child health
Minimum of 2 years previous educational experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s preparation in nursing and/or education or comparable graduate education
Stable Instructor
NRP Instructor
AWOHNN Advanced fetal monitoring certificate
