This position is for a Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist at a residential treatment center providing therapy and psychiatric care to adolescent boys aged 12-18. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing treatment plans, providing psychopharmacological therapy, and individual and family therapy sessions. The role requires a medical degree, board certification or eligibility in psychiatry, and a Utah medical license, with flexible scheduling and part-time or full-time hours considered.

Located on the Wasatch Front near the Rocky Mountains, we serve a diverse population of adolescent males. Our facility is just 15 minutes away from the Salt Lake International Airport and only 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.

Position Details:

  • Job title: Adolescent Boys Residential / RTC Psychiatrist
  • Position type: Part-time or full-time hours considered.
  • Setting: Residential treatment center for adolescent boys aged 12-18.
  • Location: 592 West 1350 South, Woods Cross, UT 84087
  • Schedule: Flexible, weekdays, day shift.
  • Onsite/Remote: 2-3 days in person preferred.
  • Caseload: 10-40 patients per week.
  • Compensation: 1099 Independent Contractor preferred. (Employed W-2 arrangement available).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, intakes, treatment planning, follow-ups, and discharges for assigned patients.
  • Oversee psychiatric functions of the school and provide psychopharmacological therapy.
  • Conduct individual adolescent and family therapy sessions as required.
  • Complete patient documentation and notes in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General Psychiatry.
  2. Training: Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and/or fellowship program.
  3. Licensure: Utah medical license in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
  4. Board Certification: BE/BC Child/Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
