Job Description

Join Sanofi as an Associate Director of Crystallization and lead a pioneering team in shaping pharmaceutical development. Utilize your expertise in crystallization and solid-state chemistry to innovate processes and improve product quality while collaborating globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team in selecting API physical forms for new NCEs
  • Develop and mentor processes for consistent API production
  • Facilitate interactions with project team members
  • Lead transformation of development to Digital Development
  • Apply strong lab skills for process development
  • Perform physiochemical analysis and characterization
  • Work on continuous improvement projects
  • Lead Tech Transfer of crystallization to manufacturing
  • Provide technical presentations and documentation
  • Establish and extend external networks for collaborations

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering or Solid State Chemistry or related field with minimum 6 years of experience, or Masters with minimum 10 years of experience
  • Proven track record in developing and leading crystallization processes
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Change agent mentality with novel approaches
  • Ability to design and deliver lab experimental plans for crystallization
  • Familiarity with PAT and common off-line analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and NMR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Modeling experience using gPROMS, DynoChem, Matlab, Python or similar
  • Knowledge in Multivariate Analysis, chemometrics, and statistics
  • Experience in the development and scale-up of continuous processes
