Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients and families to complete registration
  • Utilize computer systems for patient data entry and verification
  • Gather clinical information for referrals and pre-authorizations
  • Verify insurance coverage and create price estimates
  • Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
  • Identify and collect outstanding balances
  • Respond to patient inquiries with compassion and respect
  • Generate and analyze patient data reports

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) including weekends
  • Ability to stand for most of the 8-hour shift
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service experience in a medical or office setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
  • Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments
