Key Responsibilities
Communicate with patients and families to complete registration
Utilize computer systems for patient data entry and verification
Gather clinical information for referrals and pre-authorizations
Verify insurance coverage and create price estimates
Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
Identify and collect outstanding balances
Respond to patient inquiries with compassion and respect
Generate and analyze patient data reports
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) including weekends
Ability to stand for most of the 8-hour shift
Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of customer service experience in a medical or office setting
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
Knowledge of medical terminology
Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments
