Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress care for all patients
Lead and mentor a team of behavior experts

Collaborate on research projects related to animal behavior
Maintain thorough behavioral records and ensure compliance with protocols
Nurture a culture of learning and support staff development
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Experience with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Low Stress Handling certification or ability to obtain
Ability to work additional hours and respond to after-hours concerns
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
Master’s or PhD degree in animal behavior or related discipline
Completed residency in an approved program
