You'll tackle complex technical challenges at massive scale while maintaining the highest standards of code quality and system reliability. Lead the architectural design and implementation of large-scale podcast hosting and advertising systems - Drive technical innovation through emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning - Own end-to-end delivery of critical features from conception to deployment - Participate in technical decision-making that shapes the future of podcast technology - Create innovative solutions that push the boundaries of podcast advertising technology - Establish engineering best practices that emphasize quality, reliability, and security We encourage experimentation and calculated risk-taking - We maintain high standards for code quality and technical excellence 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and RubyGems - Proven track record with Active Record and complex data modeling - Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs, and familiarity with JSON:API specification. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other teams such as product and design to deliver high-quality software on time and on target. - Continuously enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in software development. 3+ years experience developing scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails. - Experience utilizing AWS services to build and deploy applications in the cloud. - Background in media technology or advertising platforms Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
