🏥 Facility Overview

This is a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in a renowned healthcare facility serving adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The CVOR unit supports complex cardiovascular surgical procedures, including transplants, heart devices, and aortic repairs.

💼 Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech (Scrub Tech) with a strong background in cardiac procedures. Candidates must be able to scrub independently and handle high-complexity cases including CABG, valve replacements, and aortic aneurysm repairs. This position includes one extra shift every third week and on-call requirements.

✅ Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years CVOR scrub experience
  • Must have recent experience with CABG, valve surgery, aortic aneurysm repair
  • Transplant, ECMO, and heart device experience preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS – Required
  • CST – Preferred
• Must Scrub: Yes
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• License: Active CA license required at submission
  • Pending licenses not accepted

🗓️ Schedule & Call

• Shift: 06:30 – 19:00, 3x12-hour shifts
• Extra Shift: One additional shift every third week
• On-Call:
  • 2x 12-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule (subject to department needs)
• Weekends:
  • 3–4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
  • Every other weekend coverage
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling model
• Block Scheduling: Not available

• Valve replacements (e.g., Mitral)
