Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information
  • Perform insurance verification on the date of service
  • Obtain patient signatures for required documents
  • File and maintain medical records
  • Confirm and schedule appointments
  • Follow cash security policies
  • Perform referral documentation promptly
  • Provide effective communication to patient/family team members
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical front office/Urgent Care position
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of Medical terms
