As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines during pivotal moments in their lives. You will conduct religious services, offer counseling, and oversee educational programs, making a significant impact on the morale and well-being of service members.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in a variety of settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
