Key Responsibilities
Provide therapeutic, educational, and recreational programs for patients
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
Support patients undergoing medical procedures and treatments
Facilitate interaction with patients, siblings, and parents
Advocate for patient needs to medical team members
Coordinate child life services with families and professionals
Participate in educational programs and New Employee Orientation
Maintain a safe and orderly play area
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or related field
Successful completion of an internship meeting Association of Child Life Specialists standards
Clinical internship of a minimum of 600 hours under a Certified Child Life Specialist
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a hospital setting as a Child Life Specialist
