Key Responsibilities
Support assessment of patients using pulmonary diagnostics and laboratory values
Operate specialized ventilators in various care settings
Provide medication treatments and therapies as prescribed
Clean and maintain respiratory equipment
Educate patients on therapy and disease management
Collaborate with other departments for patient education
Adapt to policies and procedures for different service areas
Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Promote a culture of safety and report safety events
Teach and precept new teammates and students
Required Qualifications
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree
