Unit Requirements - Experience:
- MUST have:
- ICP monitoring and ventriculostomy experience
- OR experience with post-TPA stroke patients
- Minimum: 2–3 years ICU experience
- Prior travel experience strongly preferred (especially in fast-paced settings)
- Ratios: 1:1–2 (90% of time is 1:2)
- Common Cases: Trauma, strokes, head injuries, neuro, interventional radiology
- EMR: Cerner
- Tele: GE
- Vents: Hamilton
- Hospitalist: 24/7 in-house
- RT & Pharmacy: 24/7
- IV Team: No
- Charge RN: Yes (no patient load)
- Support Staff: No nurse aides
- Floating: To telemetry and med-surg units
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Orientation: 1 day on unit
Additional Notes - Onsite proctored dysrhythmia test on day 1 (pass/fail)
- Fast-paced unit — candidates must be adaptable, team-oriented, and willing to ask for help
- Very traveler-friendly environment with strong interventional radiology program
- Holiday RTO considered but not guaranteed
