Job Description
The T&E Associate will be a key member of the global accounts payable team with two major areas of focus:
  • Supporting the employee reimbursement process by reviewing expense reimbursement requests for completeness and adherence to corporate policy.
  • Enhancing the team's technical capabilities by leveraging systems knowledge to improve process efficiency and integration.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with the drive to be both accurate and efficient. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage the needs of multiple stakeholder groups. You turn concepts into action and drive results, demonstrating an excellent balance of analytical, technical, and communication skills.
In addition to core T&E responsibilities, you bring a strong understanding of IT systems and integrations. You have a natural curiosity for how technologies work together and can identify opportunities to streamline workflows through automation and system enhancements. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams-including finance and IT-to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
You should embody a culture of moving fast but thoughtfully. You have a willingness and ability to drive change in a growing organization, using technology to simplify processes and support scalable growth. This individual should have a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service, with the ability to be proactive, anticipate the needs of the business, and react accordingly.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Perform detailed audits of employee reimbursement requests for proper supporting documentation and adherence to corporate policy
  • Ensure that expense reports are being processed within defined Service Level Agreements
  • Resolve queries as it relates to the Concur process.
  • Leverage system knowledge to troubleshoot issues within the expense reporting platform and recommend technical solutions
  • Partner with IT to support system upgrades, integrations and automation initiatives related to T&E processes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on T&E systems, contributing to documentation, training and user adoption strategies
  • Provide excellent customer service to Ares employees seeking assistance
  • Participate in group projects and contribute to improve process effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Approach daily activities with a positive and optimistic "can-do" attitude
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis to support firm-wide activities
  • Provide support as needed for related activities that may arise
Education: Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred but not required)
Experience Required:
  • Knowledge/experience with Concur is a plus
  • Accounting knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with system integrations, data mapping or workflow automation is a plus
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel user
  • Familiar with Word and Power Point

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$100,000 - $115,000
