As a Nurse Educator at Bethesda Health, you will develop and implement orientation programs focused on long-term care regulations and staff development. You will promote a culture of learning while ensuring compliance with safety standards and infection control practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Corporate-approved orientation program
Conduct General Orientation incorporating OSHA and regulatory guidelines
Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs
Implement an ongoing infection prevention and control program
Provide education to staff, residents, and families
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience
CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
Certified as a CPR instructor
Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program
Educational and supervisory/management experience
Previous experience in long-term care
Completed specialized training in infection prevention and control
