Key Responsibilities
Assist and support surgeons during surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain the sterile field in the operating room
Perform instrument counts and ensure accurate handling of specimens
Demonstrate leadership and critical thinking skills
Organize and coordinate effective use of personnel and materials
Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED plus short-term training in operating room setting
Graduate of surgical technician certification from an accredited school or training program
Current BLS certification
Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment
Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique
Minimum of 2+ years experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in advanced surgical procedures such as neurosurgery, high-risk pediatric ENT, transplants, robotics, bariatrics, joint replacement, and vascular
