Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Bridgeton, NJ 08302 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 13, 2025 – January 10, 2026)
• Shift: Full-time evenings (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm), 8-hour shifts, every other weekend, rotating Mondays & Fridays
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,810 – $1,950

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey RN license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience in medical/surgical nursing or acute care settings
• Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and rotating days
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in accordance with healthcare standards
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge planning, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
