Key Responsibilities

  • Provides treatments to patients by evaluating function and applying appropriate treatments
  • Participates in interdisciplinary approach for community education and clinical education of students
  • Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
  • Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status
  • Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques
  • Educates patients/families in home exercise programs to maximize independent functional activity
  • Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
  • Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a clinical setting
