Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will lead a dedicated team to provide quality veterinary care in underserved communities. You’ll support new veterinarians, perform high-volume surgeries, and ensure the best outcomes for both pets and their owners. This role emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the Community Veterinary Clinic
Train veterinarians in high-quality spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and performance evaluations
Perform high-quality spay/neuter procedures and provide veterinary care to underserved areas
Manage scheduling and participate in veterinary medicine rounds
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
