Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by designing and implementing effective behavior management programs. Your expertise will guide a dedicated interdisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, thereby making a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
Participate in audits and team meetings
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
Three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
