Job Description

As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by designing and implementing effective behavior management programs. Your expertise will guide a dedicated interdisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, thereby making a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
  • Participate in audits and team meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
  • Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
  • Three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
  • NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
  • NYS license in mental health counseling
