Job Summary and QualificationsNICU Clinical Nurse Reviewer fulfills an important role in patient care and safety by performing reviews of the maternal medical records to ensure the standard of care is provided. The RN Clinical Reviewer is responsible for the analysis of the medical accord and then documenting and reporting findings to the Maternal Program Manager using facility approved audit tools.
As the NICU Clinical Nurse Reviewer,
· You will review patient's medical record and documents’ compliance of the medical record documentation using QAPI approved audit tools.
· You will perform audits on a regular basis in accordance with maternal program plan. Pertinent data is collected using appropriate assessment techniques.
· You will incorporate available technology as needed.
· You will prioritize data collection by collaborating with the Maternal Program Manager or Neonatal Program Manager as appropriate.
· You will teach, supervise, and serve as a resource person and delegates in accordance with the competency level of all staff members.
· You will serve as a preceptor and complete the appropriate documentation of training and competency.
What qualifications you will need:Education
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· Bachelor’s degree – required
License and Certifications
· Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 60 days of hire - required
· BLS per St. David’s Policy – required
· RNC-OB, RNC-NICU, C-EFM - preferred
