Sable Corporation is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a per diem / prn nursing job in Lynwood, California.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our maternal care team on a per diem basis for day shift coverage in California . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric nursing and will be confident in supporting patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery in a high-acuity environment.
Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
Monitor fetal heart tones , contractions, and maternal vital signs
Assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies
Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural support in coordination with providers
Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management, postpartum care, and newborn care
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
Collaborate closely with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and other members of the care team
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment aligned with hospital protocols
Active California RN license (Required)
BLS certification (AHA – Required)
AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Required)
Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (Preferred)
Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
EMR experience (EPIC preferred)
