The Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting performance improvement activities to include developing and sustaining clinical service line quality initiatives according to the strategic plan at HCA HealthONE. Position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining clinical quality initiatives/concurrent core measure improvements, including facilitating best practice initiatives, identifying and leading implementation for evidenced-base practice, and implementing/modifying processes to meet improvement, accreditation and regulatory compliance goals. The Quality Coordinator works in conjunction with Medical Staff Chairs, Department Managers and Directors and the Director of Quality Management. The Quality Coordinator initiates the performance improvement cycle when appropriate and is able to achieve improvement goals. Other activities include performing comprehensive review of medical records and care processes, communication with key stakeholders including hospital staff and medical staff, assisting with the compilation of data and reports, and presentation of findings. The Quality Coordinator will provide education and training to managers and staff on performance improvement processes and opportunities for improvement, core measures, best practice research, regulatory standards, and findings of their chart reviews. The Quality Coordinator displays positive support for the values and mission of HCA HealthONE and performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care. Assists the director in consulting with members of the organization to meet compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements including CMS, JCAHO and State of Colorado requirements. Reporting to the Director of Quality Management, this individual will be responsible for coordination of those systems necessary to identify, evaluate, monitor, and improve processes resulting in clinical excellence.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license is preferred.
Education: Degree in Nursing, Health Administration or Bachelor degree in healthcare field or equiv combination of education, training & experience
Experience: Hospital clinical experience preferred
