Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader in Tucson, AZ, where you will lead a team of engineers and ensure the quality of technical output throughout the product life cycle. This role combines management with hands-on technical involvement, making a significant impact on critical military programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 15-20 engineers
Provide technical development, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure accuracy of technical output
Coordinate program staffing needs and resource utilization
Perform individual contributor workload in subject matter discipline
Evaluate and resolve materials and processes problems
Support product life cycle with technical oversight
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Experience with materials and process design, development, and/or production support for military programs
Experience in cross-functional team collaboration
Experience in testing methods for physical properties of materials
Experience with PWB/CCA interconnects analysis
Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
Experience in dimensional inspection/measurement techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of experience in materials problem solving and design selection
Ability to lead multi-disciplined scientific projects
Direct experience in aerospace industry materials support
Advanced degree in related disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write concise technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo, and/or Python
Proficiency in MS Office
