This role requires knowledge of patient care procedures and safety standards, as well as physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment. Certification in basic life support and healthcare experience are preferred to ensure effective patient assistance in a wound care setting.

The Wound Care Technician works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and is responsible for assisting nurses and licensed independent practitioners with a variety of direct and indirect patient care. The individual must possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures and demonstrate competency in following pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of this position. Must possess the ability to render care and treatment for all age patients- young adults through geriatrics. Assists with patient flow in the department and promotes a clean and safe environment for patients and team members.
