We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to deliver specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients who require close monitoring and moderate intervention. The PCU RN plays a vital role in bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units, managing patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, or post-surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assess patients with acute conditions that require frequent assessment, including cardiac, respiratory, and neurological issues.
  • Administer medications, manage IV drips, and monitor patient responses to treatments.
  • Interpret and respond to cardiac monitoring and telemetry readings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Recognize and act promptly in emergent situations (e.g., rapid response or code blue).
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Telemetry experience required • Minimum of 2 years of experience, 1 Year Cerner experience • This is a Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Float position • They may also be floated to care for ED holds when needed • Staff must have ACLS, BLS certification
