Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
Complete work orders
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and services
Maintain service records and documentation
Assist with mobile emergency services
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
Valid driver's license
Mechanic's tool set
High school diploma or GED
Vocational/technical training in automotive or diesel technology
1-3 years of hands-on experience in school bus or fleet maintenance
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems
Ability to lift heavy parts (50 lbs or more)
Strong communication skills
Willingness to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
ASE School Bus certifications (S1-S7)
Certifications in Brakes, Diesel Engines, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Preventive Maintenance
