Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll perform vital maintenance and repairs on diesel heavy trucks and engines. Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel heavy trucks and engines
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English well
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
Knowledge of diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
