Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina travel nursing jobs)
• Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Acute Care Hospital
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); includes holiday rotation and every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570-$1680
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free on-site parking

CVICU RN Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong cardiac nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to float within critical care and intermediate step-down units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-open heart and post-cardiac surgery cases
• Operate advanced cardiac equipment: IABP, Impella, CRRT, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors, and temporary pacemakers
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
• Assist with emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
