Key Responsibilities
Lead the instructional process for students Grades 3-5 with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Create an inclusive, collaborative environment involving students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
Establish a classroom climate built on mutual respect and clear expectations.
Implement and reinforce school-wide and classroom-specific PBIS strategies.
Track and document student progress and maintain accurate student files.
Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction to meet IEP-specified educational goals.
Utilize varied instructional methods and resources to support diverse student needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field of study.
Meet all state teaching license and/or certification requirements.
Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in a classroom setting.
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism and/or other related disabilities.
Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a state special education credential.
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite.
