Full-time position with the following schedule:
- Days: AM 7a - 7p
- Weekend: 3 to 4 weekends per month
- Holidays: 1 to 2 holidays per year
- Weekly Hours: 36.00 guaranteed
- Contract Duration: 96 weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing practices, clinical skills, and patient care, ensuring high-quality service for our patients across all stages of their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment Skills: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups, ensuring appropriate care delivery.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills, providing direct patient care and supporting team dynamics.
- Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
- Professionalism: Exhibit professional responsibility, knowledge of policies, and a commitment to continuous clinical and professional growth.
- Patient Satisfaction: Interact with patients, families, and colleagues in a positive and courteous manner, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Safety: Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, following Universal Protocol and utilizing safe transfer techniques.
- Unit Specific Job Function: Individualize patient care based on surgical procedures and types of anesthesia, assessing patient understanding.
- Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care according to their needs and conditions, contributing to the perioperative team's success.
- Patient Education: Assess and educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
- BLS Certification - Required
- RN License - Required
- ACLS Certification - Required
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred)
