Key Responsibilities
Performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with safety protocols
Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students
Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy
Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedures
Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
Completes timely quality control procedures
Facilitates departmental operations
Required Qualifications
Completion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of sonographer experience
Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
