Job Description
Join the Boys & Girls Club as a Youth Development Specialist and inspire youth in our afterschool programs. Help shape their futures through engaging activities and mentorship in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead fun, engaging activities in education, arts, health & wellness, sports, and leadership development
Provide homework help, mentorship, and positive behavior guidance
Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space for youth ages 5–13
Supervise groups of students and support positive group dynamics
Keep program spaces organized, clean, and safe
Serve as a role model, mentor, and motivator for young people
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years or older
CPR/First Aid certified—or willing to earn certification within 30 days of hire
Ability to pass background check and other assessments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with youth (paid, volunteer, or personal)
Strong communication, patience, and leadership skills
Ability to follow program plans and adapt to changing needs
