Job Description

Join the Boys & Girls Club as a Youth Development Specialist and inspire youth in our afterschool programs. Help shape their futures through engaging activities and mentorship in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fun, engaging activities in education, arts, health & wellness, sports, and leadership development
  • Provide homework help, mentorship, and positive behavior guidance
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space for youth ages 5–13
  • Supervise groups of students and support positive group dynamics
  • Keep program spaces organized, clean, and safe
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and motivator for young people

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • CPR/First Aid certified—or willing to earn certification within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to pass background check and other assessments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth (paid, volunteer, or personal)
  • Strong communication, patience, and leadership skills
  • Ability to follow program plans and adapt to changing needs
