Key Responsibilities

  • Assists Chief Physicist in meeting NJ State and NRC regulations
  • Assists Dosimetrists with treatment planning and calculations
  • Performs yearly and monthly calibrations of Linear Accelerators
  • Plans HDR brachytherapy cases and performs HDR calibrations
  • Verifies treatment parameters in patient chart and R/V system
  • Collaborates with Chief Physicist, Dosimetrists, and physicians
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy Department
  • Eligible for ABR certification in related Medical physics specialty
