Key Responsibilities
Assists Chief Physicist in meeting NJ State and NRC regulations
Assists Dosimetrists with treatment planning and calculations
Performs yearly and monthly calibrations of Linear Accelerators
Plans HDR brachytherapy cases and performs HDR calibrations
Verifies treatment parameters in patient chart and R/V system
Collaborates with Chief Physicist, Dosimetrists, and physicians
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
Two years of experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy Department
Eligible for ABR certification in related Medical physics specialty
