Key Responsibilities
Conducts non-invasive vascular studies including ultrasound
Prepares test results and maintains equipment and vascular database
Explains test procedures and prepares patients for diagnostic tests
Assists physician in developing new techniques and procedures
Monitors and evaluates patient condition during and after procedures
Records and charts patient data using proper CPT and ICD9
Maintains sterilized supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
Coordinates department activities with other departments
Orients and trains new or less experienced personnel
Required Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in vascular setting
Minimum two (2) years of experience in duplex carotid, venous, and peripheral arterial scanning
Graduate from an approved ultrasound training program recognized by CAHEA or equivalent related experience
Registered Vascular Technician Certificate
Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
