ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required for all Illinois nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Experience in neuro, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery ICU care
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no declinations accepted)
• Prior Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred
• Application must include: Resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), 2 supervisory references, certifications, license, and COVID vaccination status

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of critically ill patients in the ICU
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for ICU patients
• Lead and support clinical staff to ensure effective execution of care plans
• Conduct patient evaluations and accurately document progress in the EMR
• Participate in treatment planning and discharge processes
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a critical care setting
